Robbie Fowler has warned Mohamed Salah that he will struggle to have as much of an impact in his second season at Liverpool FC.

The Egypt international was one of European football’s top performing players last season following his move to Anfield from AS Roma.

Salah scored a brilliant 44 goals in all competitions as he helped Liverpool FC to finish in fourth place in the Premier League table and reach the Champions League final.

The 26-year-old will be hoping to continue his fine form next season as he bids to try and make another big impact at the Merseyside outfit next term.

However, former Liverpool FC hero Fowler has admitted that Salah is likely to find life at Anfield more tricky in his second season at the club.

Speaking in an interview quoted by the Irish Examiner, Fowler said: “Last year he was just phenomenal.

“This year is going to be harder: defenders, other teams, other managers’ tactics will be all trying to stop him. But I’ve no doubt he is a good enough player to deal with that.”

Liverpool FC will be aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season as they look to try and win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds reached the Champions League final last season but they ended up losing 3-1 to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu back in May.
