Jurgen Klopp told 19-year-old would be a hit at Liverpool FC
ESPN FC pundit Paul Mariner believes Christian Pulisic would be a great addition to the Liverpool FC team
Chrstian Pulisic would be a big success at Liverpool FC under Jurgen Klopp, ESPN FC pundit Paul Mariner has claimed.
The United States international has been linked with a move to Premier League side Liverpool FC in the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old moved to Borussia Dortmund during Klopp’s spell in charge of the German club before the manager quit in 2015.
Pulisic has blossomed into a key player for the Bundesliga outfit since Klopp’s departure three seasons ago.
The American forward could be a potential long-term successor for Philippe Coutinho, who moved to FC Barcelona in a £142m deal back in January.
ESPN FC pundit Mariner believes Pulisic would be a big hit at Liverpool FC under German head coach Klopp.
“If he can work under Klopp, he knows how Klopp works and Klopp knows how he works,” Mariner told ESPN FC.
“He could play in that system and be absolutely perfect.”
Liverpool FC have signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the current transfer window.
The Reds have also signed Guinea international Naby Keita in a £48m switch from RB Leipzig after the two clubs agreed a deal last summer.
Liverpool FC snapped up Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri in a £13.5m deal from Stoke City.
