Jamie Redknapp has praised Jurgen Klopp for addressing Liverpool FC’s problems in the summer transfer window.

The Reds have been very busy in the current market following the addition of four new players ahead of the new Premier League season.

Liverpool FC signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco at the start of the transfer window.

Naby Keita will help to further bolster Klopp’s midfield after his £48m move to Liverpool FC from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

The Reds snapped up Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri in a cut price deal from relegated Stoke City.

Liverpool FC’s most expensive summer signing was AS Roma star Alisson Becker after the Reds spent a world record transfer fee for a goalkeeper.

Former Reds captain Redknapp has backed Klopp’s transfer business ahead of their season opener against West Ham United on Sunday.

“What I like about Liverpool is that they’ve addressed problems. He [Klopp] hasn’t messed around,” Redknapp told Sky Sports The Debate.

“He knew he had to get a goalkeeper and he did it early. In defence, he knew he needed to strengthen and bought the best in Virgil van Dijk. He cost £70m but I reckon you could sell him for a lot more than that now. He’s been brilliant for that back four, he’s made everyone look better.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.

The Reds lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last season.

The 18-time English champions haven’t won the Premier League title and their last top-flight crown came in 1990.
