Liverpool FC are optimistic that Sadio Mane will sign a new long-term term at the Anfield outfit, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Reds are hopeful that the Mane will put pen to paper on a new deal with the Champions League runners up after a stunning 2017-18 Premier League season.

The same article states that Liverpool FC expect Mane to commit to a new lucrative contract in the coming weeks ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

According to the same story, Mane is set to follow in the footsteps of his team-mates Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah after the duo signed new deals earlier this summer.

The Senegal forward scored 10 times in 33 games in the Premier League last term to help Liverpool FC finish in the top four in successive seasons in the English top flight.

Mane netted a further 10 times in the Champions League to help Liverpool FC reach the Champions League final for the first time since 2007 when the Reds lost to AC Milan.

The African forward netted Liverpool FC’s goal in a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League showpiece in Kiev.
