Gary Neville sends blunt Man United response to Paul Pogba’s agent
Gary Neville responds to Mino Raiola's Twitter rant about Paul Scholes
Gary Neville has hit out at Mino Raiola after Paul Pogba’s agent went on a Twitter rant about Paul Scholes.
The Red Devils suffered a 3-2 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League at the Amex Stadium on Sunday evening.
Manchester United struggled to get a handle on the Premier League clash following Pogba’s erratic performance in the middle of the park.
Pogba was guilty of losing possession in dangerous areas and failed to show leadership as Mourinho’s men capitulated.
The Manchester United record signing admitted that he wasn’t prepared for the Brighton clash in his post-match interview.
Club legend Scholes slammed Pogba’s comments in the immediate aftermath of their first Premier League loss of the season.
Unsurprisingly, the midfielder’s outspoken agent Raiola was quick to defend the Manchester United star.
Raiola wrote on Twitter: “Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten. Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill. @paulpogba Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club @paulpogba”
However, Scholes’ former team-mate Neville didn’t hold back in his response to Raiola on Twitter.
Neville posted on the social media website: “Let’s hope @paulpogba leads his agent and shuts him up !”
Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 but the Red Devils did secure their best finish since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
The 20-time English champions will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford in their next Premier League game.
