Gary Neville runs out of patience with three Man United stars
The Manchester United legend can no longer defend Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial
Gary Neville has admitted that he can’t defend Manchester United trio Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial any more.
The Red Devils have made a difficult start to the Premier League campaign to leave Manchester United in turmoil despite a second-placed finish last term.
Sanchez moved to Manchester United ahead of Manchester City in the January transfer window after the Red Devils made the Chile international the Premier League’s best paid player.
However, the South American has been unable to replicate his Arsenal form that saw Sanchez become one of the Premier League’s best players at the north London side.
Martial has been the subject of relentless transfer speculation over the past eight months or so amid rumours of a falling out with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
The France international has been regularly criticised for his lacklustre approach amid interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Rashford, too, has struggled to find a level of consistency under Mourinho despite his exciting start to life in the Manchester United team.
Former Manchester United defender Neville admitted that he can no longer defend the Red Devils trio.
““(Anthony) Martial? No. I don’t see him playing well that often to be honest with you,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“Rashford’s not taken his chance. (Alexis) Sanchez, every time he plays I can’t think of the player I’m watching.”
Manchester United will take on Burnley on Sunday.
