Jamie Redknapp pinpoints what Paul Pogba is missing at Man United
The Liverpool FC legend wants to see Paul Pogba rediscover his arrogance at Manchester United
Paul Pogba needs to rediscover his strut at Manchester United, Jamie Redknapp has claimed.
The Red Devils faced speculation surrounding their club record signing during the summer transfer window.
FC Barcelona were reported to have made an offer to sign the France international to rescue him from his Old Trafford nightmare.
Manchester United manger Jose Mourinho hasn’t been afraid to criticise his record signing over the past 24 months.
Pogba has struggled to recreate his impressive performances at Manchester United following his move from Juventus in 2016.
The Frenchman scored from the penalty spot to help Manchester United ease to a 2-1 win over Leicester on Friday.
Former Liverpool FC captain Redknapp believes Pogba has the potential to blossom into a top midfielder at Old Trafford.
“He has everything he needs to be whatever he wants to be: a holding player, a midfielder who bombs forward and scores or a creative midfielder,” Redknapp told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
The problem is the team hasn’t allowed him to flourish how he wants. He has lost that strut.”
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season to secure their best finish since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
The Red Devils have signed Shakhtar Dontesk star Fred, FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot and Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant.
