Ryan Giggs doesn’t believe Manchester United should sack Jose Mourinho despite a poor start to the new Premier League season.

The Red Devils were 2-1 winners against Leicester City in their season opener thanks to goals from Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw.

However, Manchester United have lost their way over the past fortnight following successive Premier League losses.

The 20-time English champions suffered a 3-2 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion in their first fixture on the road this term.

Tottenham Hotspur were 3-0 winners against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night after Lucas Moura and Harry Kane found the net.

Manchester United are six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and Tottenham after three games.

Mourinho is coming under pressure at Old Trafford following their poor start to the new Premier League campaign.

The Portuguese head coach was critical of Manchester United’s lack of summer investment ahead of the 2018-19 season.

The former Chelsea FC manager has also attracted scrutiny for his handling of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw over the past 12 months or so.

Ex-Manchester United manager Giggs believes the Red Devils would be wrong to part company with Mourinho.

Manchester United have got a fantastic manager already there,” Giggs told Sky Sports.

“The club are going through a tough time but you’ve got to come through those tough times.

“I don’t see where Manchester United go after Jose Mourinho. I think they’ve got the right man and they should stick with him.

“The club, the players and the fans should stick together.”
