Dion Dublin believes that Manchester United will be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season.

The Red Devils are currently preparing for their third season under Jose Mourinho as they look to try and mount a title challenge next term.

Manchester United ended up in a disappointing second place last season as they failed to win a trophy in Mourinho’s second campaign in charge at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have brought in a number of players in the summer transfer market as they prepare to try and mount a serious title challenge this term.

Mourinho is aiming to lead the Red Devils to their first Premier League title since the Portuguese coach’s appointment at Old Trafford back in the summer of 2016.

And Dublin feels that the Red Devils will be one of the main contenders for the title this season under Mourinho.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Dublin said: “United have got so much quality in their squad and they definitely progressed under Jose Mourinho last season.

“What they are missing at the moment is harmony, but if he can find that and get all his good players smiling and happy, they will be very close.”

Manchester United will kick off the new Premier League season when they take on Leicester City at Old Trafford on Friday night.

The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
