Sky Sports reporter: Leicester unlikely to sell 25-year-old to Man United
Leicester City are unlikely to let Harry Maguire move to Man United this summer, according to Rob Dorsett
Leicester City are unlikely to let Harry Maguire move to Manchester United this summer even if the Red Devils table a big-money bid, according to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with a move to sign Maguire this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to add to his options at the back ahead of his third season in charge at Old Trafford.
Maguire earned plenty of new admirers for his sparkling performances for England at this summer’s World Cup in Russia as he helped the Three Lions to reach the semi-finals.
The 25-year-old is currently enjoying the final few days of his extended summer holiday as he prepares to report back to Leicester City to begin his pre-season preparations.
However, Sky Sports reporter Dorsett feels that Leicester City are determined to keep hold of the England international this summer and that they are unlikely to sell to Manchester United.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Dorsett said: “I can’t see them letting him in go even if Man United make a world-record bid more than the £75m that Liverpool paid for Virgil Van Dijk.”
Manchester United have signed three players so far this summer after having tied up deals for Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant.
The Red Devils are thought to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they prepare to try and challenge for the title next term.
