Sky Sports reporter confirms Man United want to sign England star
Tom White says Manchester United have made a move to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer
Manchester United have made a move to try and sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Tom White.
The Red Devils are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
Maguire earned plenty of new admirers following his fine performances for England at this summer’s World Cup in Russia, as he helped them to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
The 25-year-old has been touted as a possible target for Manchester United this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.
And Sky Sports reporter White has confirmed that the Red Devils are keen on a move to try and bring the centre-half to Old Trafford before the transfer deadline on 9 August.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, White said: “Manchester United have made a move to sign one of the stars of England’s World Cup campaign, Leicester defender Harry Maguire.”
Manchester United have signed three players so far this summer after having brought in Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant ahead of the new campaign.
The Red Devils finished second in the Premier League and without a trophy last term.
