Ivan Perisic has admitted that he would love to test himself in the Premier League but isn’t sure whether he will be able to before the end of his career.

The Croatia international has been regularly linked with a move to Manchester United over the last few months as Jose Mourinho looks to add to his options on the wing.

Manchester United were strongly credited with an interest in bringing the 29-year-old to Old Trafford from Inter Milan last summer but a move failed to materialise.

There has been plenty of fresh speculation linking Manchester United with a move for Perisic this summer after his impressive displays for Croatia at the World Cup.

Perisic appeared to commit his long-term future to Inter Milan when he signed a new long-term contract with the Italian club last September.

And although the player himself has admitted that he would be keen on a transfer to England or Spain, he concedes that he may not have the time to do so before the end of his career.

Speaking in an interview with Sportske Novosti, Perisic said: “Honestly, I would like to test myself in all of the biggest leagues but the question is will I have the time, I am 29 and working to extend my career as long as I can

“Yes, I’d like to play in England and Spain but I don’t know if there is enough time left.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United will be aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season after they finished second and without a trophy last term.
