Man United chiefs remain fully behind Jose Mourinho – report
Jose Mourinho retains the backing of the Manchester United board, according to reports
Jose Mourinho retains the full backing of the Manchester United board despite the Red Devils’ stuttering start to the season, according to reports.
Sky Sports News is reporting that the Portuguese coach still has the backing of Red Devils chiefs in the wake of Manchester United’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Monday night.
That defeat followed Manchester United’s loss to Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month and left Mourinho’s side with just three points to show from their first three Premier League games.
Mourinho has cut a frustrated figure at Old Trafford in recent weeks and he walked out of his post-match news conference on Monday night following the loss to Spurs.
However, according to the same story, Mourinho retains the full backing of the Manchester United board.
The Red Devils have lost two of their opening three Premier League games for the first time since 1992 to leave them six points off the pace in the race for the title this season.
Mourinho’s men will look to get back to winning ways in the top flight when Manchester United take on Burnley away from home this weekend.
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
