Paul Pogba delivers honest assessment of Man United form
Paul Pogba admits that Man United's defeat by Tottenham was "bizarre" after the 3-0 loss at Old Trafford
Paul Pogba has admitted that Manchester United’s defeat by Tottenham Hotspur was “bizarre” as he vowed to help the Red Devils bounce back.
Pogba was unable to prevent the Red Devils from slipping to a disappointing 3-0 loss to the north London side at Old Trafford on Monday night as they slumped to their second straight defeat in the Premier League.
The loss heaped further pressure on Jose Mourinho and left the Red Devils with only three points from their opening three Premier League games this season.
Pogba has been criticised for his failure to produce consistent performances for Manchester United in recent months and the midfielder will be aiming to step his game up in the coming matches.
Now, the French midfielder has delivered an honest assessment of how Monday night’s game panned out as he bids to try and help Manchester United to bounce back.
Pogba is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “It was bizarre.
“We were determined, we put everything into it, started well but in the end we lost 3-0. It’s a shock. Even we don’t understand what happened.
“I think it was an undeserved defeat but football can be cruel. We just have to bounce back.
“It won’t be easy, but it’s just the start of the season. I prefer to start badly and end well than start well and finish badly.”
Manchester United will aim to return to winning ways this weekend when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley.
The Red Devils are looking to challenge for the title this season after finishing second and without a trophy last term.
