Man United get big injury boost ahead of Tottenham clash – report
Man United have been handed a significant injury boost ahead of their clash against Tottenham on Sunday
Manchester United have been handed a big injury boost ahead of their showdown with Tottenham Hotspur next week after both Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia returned to training, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the duo have returned to training at Carrington ahead of the Red Devils’ clash with Spurs on Monday night.
Both Matic and Valencia were forced to return early from Manchester United’s tour of the USA in the summer after picking up injury problems, but they could both be fit to face Tottenham on Monday after stepping up their training.
Manchester United are under pressure to get a result on Monday night after they slumped to a surprise 3-2 loss to Brighton in the top flight on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils are aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season after they ended up in second place and without a trophy last term.
Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
They won both the Europa League and League Cup in Mourinho’s first season at the club.
