Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window, reporter Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.

The France international has been linked with a potential exit following a difficult spell at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.

Martial has struggled to hold down a starting spot in Jose Mourinho’s team and a fractious relationship is thought to have developed between the pair.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a potential transfer amid interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Premier League duo Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be monitoring Martial ahead of deadline day.

Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Manchester United forward Martial is eager to leave Old Trafford this summer.

“We are told he wants to leave,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast. “Man United may be prepared to let him go but not to a league rival.”

Manchester United have signed Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred and FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot in the summer transfer window so far.

The Red Devils have signed veteran England goalkeeper Lee Grant in a £1.5m deal from relegated Stoke City.

Manchester United will start the new Premier League campaign with a clash against Leicester City next weekend.
