Gareth Bale will reject Man United offer, new Real Madrid boss claims
Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui is confident that Gareth Bale will remain at the La Liga champions

Gareth Bale will turn down the chance to move to Manchester United this summer, according to new Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui.
The Wales international was linked with a move away from Real Madrid in the 2018 summer transfer window following a frustrating La Liga campaign.
Bale was unable to hold down a regular starting spot in the Real Madrid team under Zinedine Zidane in the 2017-18 season.
The 28-year-old left his mark on the Champions League final after he came off the bench to score twice to help Real Madrid to ease to a 3-1 win against Liverpool FC.
Bale hinted that his time was up at The Bernabeu in the immediate aftermath of their Champions League triumph.
However, the appointment of Lopetegui has offered Bale a lifeline at the Spanish giants ahead of the new La Liga campaign.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus has presented Bale with the chance to become Real Madrid’s key player next term.
Speaking to the media about Bale’s future at the La Liga giants, Lopetegui is quoted as saying:
“He’s very, very happy. He’s very happy to play at Real Madrid.
“He’s happy to be here, this is a fantastic opportunity for him to show his talent.
“I’ve talked to him like I’ve talked to everyone. He’s with the team, he’s happy, he’s in line with our goals and it’s a start of a new exciting path for us that I’m looking forward to.”
Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2012-13 when Sir Alex Ferguson got his hands on his final top flight crown of his long rein in charge.
