The Guardian is reporting that Manchester United have informed Mourinho that there are finances available to improve the Red Devils squad before the current transfer window shuts.
The same article states that the Portuguese head coach is under no pressure to sell to raise funds to make some more signings ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
According to the same story, the Manchester United board believe the root of Mourinho’s unhappiness is absence of some key Red Devils players following their participation in the World Cup.
Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign a centre-half in the summer transfer window but the Red Devils have been left frustrated over a deal to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur.
Furthermore, the Red Devils could look to sign FC Barcelona centre-half Yerry Mina and Leicester defender Harry Maguire in the current transfer window.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term to secure a spot in the Champions League.
