Man United back Jose Mourinho amid Zinedine Zidane speculation – report
Manchester United issue their support for under-fire Jose Mourinho, according to a report

Manchester United have issued their backing for Jose Mourinho amid continued speculation linking Zinedine Zidane with a move to Old Trafford, according to a report in England.
BBC Sport is reporting that the Portuguese head coach retains the full support of the Manchester United board despite a 3-2 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday evening.
The same article quotes a Manchester United source when asked about Zidane’s possible appointment: “Why would we discuss Zidane when there is no job?”
Zidane has been linked with the Red Devils role since the World Cup winner stood down as Real Madrid boss at the end of the 2017-18 La Liga campaign.
Manchester United turned to Mourinho following the dismissal of Louis van Gaal at the end of the 2015-16 Premier League season.
The Portuguese head coach won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in his first season in charge of Manchester United despite a sixth-placed finish.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May to end Mourinho’s second campaign at Old Trafford without a trophy.
Manchester United will welcome Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League fixture on Monday night.
