Ian Wright admits he isn’t too concerned about whether Aaron Ramsey remains at Arsenal or leave for nothing next summer.

The Wales international is set to become a free agent at the end of the current campaign despite contract negotiations between Ramsey and Arsenal.

The 27-year-old has less than 12 months to run on his current deal as the Welsh midfielder looks to impress Arsene Wenger’s replacement Unai Emery.

Arsenal made Ozil the best-paid player in their history when the German playmaker received a contract worth £350,000 a week back in February.

The Gunners star has struggled to justify his huge wages over the past few seasons but Arsenal still saw it fit to give Ozil a lucrative new deal.

Asked whether he would be disappointed if Arsenal lost Ramsey next summer, the Gunners legend Wright said on Sky Sports:

“I don’t have a problem with that either. I would like him to stay, but if he wants to run it down and leave, then let him leave and we’ll find someone else.”

Arsenal finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a place in the Champions League.

The Gunners haven’t qualified for Europe’s premier competition over the past two seasons.

Ramsey has won three FA Cup titles during his spell at Arsenal following a move from Cardiff City over 10 seasons ago.

Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
