Chris Sutton believes Arsenal will sneak fourth spot ahead of Manchester United this season.

The Red Devils have made a difficult start to the 2018-19 season to lose ground on their title rivals Liverpool FC and Manchester City.

Manchester United suffered successive losses to Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur to heap pressure on under-fire manager Jose Mourinho.

The 20-time English champions bounced back with victories over Burnley and Watford before a 1-1 draw with promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.

Arsenal lost to title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea FC in their opening two Premier League games under new manager Unai Emery.

The Gunners have won four successive Premier League games to climb up to sixth spot in the table ahead of Manchester United.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have started to find their form in Emery’s team to give the Gunners plenty of firepower.

Former Chelsea FC striker Sutton believes Arsenal can challenge Manchester United for a top-four spot and could sneak past Mourinho’s side.

“Arsenal are getting their act together,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I think they may just sneak it.”

Arsenal signed five players in the summer transfer window to improve their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Emery replaced Wenger at the Emirates Stadium in the summer following the north London side’s sixth-placed finish last term.
