The Gunners are currently getting used to life under new manager Unai Emery following his appointment as the club’s new boss in the summer months.
Arsenal were relatively active in the summer transfer window as they brought in five new players ahead of Emery’s first campaign in charge.
The north London side have made something of a mixed start to the new Premier League season, losing their opening two games before beating both West Ham and Cardiff on the trot.
Attentions will gradually turn towards the January transfer window in the coming weeks and months as Emery ponders further bolstering his squad in the new year.
And football.london reporter Watts feels that the Gunners will be focused on trying to bring in a new left-back in the January window.
Speaking in an interview with football.london, Watts said: “It’s tough to say exactly right now, but I’m not expecting Arsenal to do much in January.
“A new left-back is certainly a priority, whether that will be something they look to do in January though I’m not sure.
“A wide attacker is also on the agenda and Cristian Pavon has big admirers at Arsenal, but I still think he will end up in Spain.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action this weekend when they travel to Newcastle United in the top flight.
The Gunners have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
