The Gabon international is getting used to life at the north London club after having arrived at The Emirates from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.
Aubameyang scored twice for Arsenal in their 4-2 Europa League win over Vorskla at The Emirates on Monday night as he and his team-mates continue to get used to life under new Gunners boss Unai Emery.
The forward will be expecting to start for the Gunners when they return to Premier League action on Sunday with a home clash against Everton in front of their home fans.
And former Liverpool FC midfielder Redknapp seems to feel that Aubameyang will play a crucial part in Arsenal’s overall success this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “Aubameyang is so important to Arsenal so it was good to see him score a couple of goals in the Europa League on Thursday night.
“He has started the season a little slowly, but hopefully that will be a catalyst for him to get going again. It’s exactly what he needed.
“Strikers are a different breed to midfielders and defenders. They need to score goals, they need that buzz from the ball hitting the back of the net.”
Arsenal are preparing to take on Everton at The Emirates as they look to make it four wins in a row in the Premier League this season.
The north London side are aiming to break back into the top four this season after they finished sixth and without a trophy under Arsene Wenger last term.
Arsenal have not won the title since their unbeaten triumph in 2004.
