The goalkeeper arrived at the north London side from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window but Emery has preferred to start Petr Cech in goal for the Gunners’ games in the Premier League this term.
Leno made his first competitive appearance for Arsenal in the Europa League last week, but it is clear that Emery currently prefers Cech as his first choice shot-stopper.
Cech was in particularly good form on Sunday as he helped Arsenal to claim a 2-0 win over Everton at The Emirates in the Premier League.
That win was Arsenal’s fourth in a row in the top flight, and Emery has insisted that he is happy with his goalkeeping situation at The Emirates.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Emery said: “Leno is calm and knows now that he’s working well, but also we have three goalkeepers and Petr Cech is delivering good performances.
“We are going to give them chances to play in other competitions, but we want the same performances like Petr’s.
“It’s good for the team, for the goalkeepers, to reward good performances.”
Arsenal are now currently preparing for their home League Cup third round clash against Brentford at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
Emery has been tasked with steering the north London side back into the top four this season after they finished in sixth place and without a trophy under Arsene Wenger last term.
