Emery has endured a tough start to life in north London after two defeats in his opening two games against Manchester City and Chelsea FC.
However, Arsenal picked up three points for the first time under Emery with last weekend’s win over West Ham and he believes his squad and Torreira are working themselves into the team.
Emery said at the Arsenal news conference on Friday: “I am very happy with the player (Torreira) and I think every player can play.
“They also are working very well every day and demanding me with their works, to start the games.
“I like this spirit and also the possibility to play for the first 11 is okay.
“Then there is a possibility to stay in the match and then play.
“Every player, I am really, really very happy with how they are working and not only with Lucas, but for all.”
Mood around Arsenal has been disastrously low for a number of years now, and it threatened to continue after Arsenal’s relatively disastrous start to this campaign.
Whilst the win over West Ham has somewhat kept that mood at bay, feelings will quickly change if they fail to take all three points at promoted Cardiff on Sunday.
Whether Emery’s comments are a disingenuous attempt to stave off pressure and criticism remains to be seen, but there is a lot of hope around the signing of Torreira who showed his quality at the World Cup in Russia this summer.
He has impressed in three substitute appearances so far this term with fans hopeful he will be operate successfully in front of a back four which desperately need protection.
