Robbie Fowler hailed Daniel Sturridge’s stunning equaliser in Liverpool FC’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

The Reds were looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their EFL Cup exit mid-week after Eden Hazard netted a brilliant winner after Emerson Palmieri cancelled out Sturridge’s opening goal.

Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah missed a couple of chances to break the deadlock in the first half as the Egypt international continues to struggle to recreate last season’s form.

Hazard opened the scoring in west London on Saturday evening after the Belgian forward raced away from Joe Gomez and slotted a finish past Alisson Becker.

Chelsea FC appeared destined to end Liverpool FC’s unbeaten start to the Premier League despite the introduction of Xherdan Shaqiri for Salah in the second half.

However, Klopp’s third and final substitution Sturridge proved to be Liverpool FC’s hero when the former Blues striker picked up the ball on the edge of the area and curled a brilliant finish past Kepa in the Chelsea FC goal.

Ex-Liverpool FC striker Fowler, who was a deadly finisher with his left foot like the current England international, took to Twitter to heap praise on Sturridge for his equaliser.

Fowler wrote on Twitter: “You sexy little dancer @DanielSturridge … some finish😃”
