David Luiz has said new Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri is a positive person to be around and is creating a happy mood around the squad.

Sarri replaced Antonio Conte in the summer with the task of implementing a more positive style of play at Chelsea FC.

According to Luiz, Sarri is not only making their style of play more positive but his positive outlook is lifting the spirits of the club too.

He told the Chelsea FC website: “First of all he [Sarri] is a great person, great as a human.

“I think his philosophy to live life is already great because he wants to enjoy every day, he wants to be happy and he wanted to take this opportunity to start one more chapter in his life.

“I think that is one of the most important things in life: when you love to do something, when you’re happy.”

After winning the Premier League in 2016-17, Antonio Conte struggled to balance domestic and European football last season.

Not for the first time, failings on the pitch lead to a poisonous mood among Chelsea FC players, which forced the hand of owner Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea FC’s defensive style of play was not inspiring the players and losing football in that manner was too much for many of the fans.

After much unrest, Conte was relieved of his duties and Sarri was brought in to bring some swagger back to South-West London.

He has done exactly that, with four wins from four so far in the League for Chelsea FC this season.

After many anecdotes have emerged about Sarri’s enigmatic operation, Luiz has confirmed the mood at Stamford Bridge is a world away from what it was just months ago.
