Kante and his Chelsea FC team-mates are currently getting used to life under new boss Sarri after he was brought in as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge back in July.
The west London side have made a strong start to the new campaign, winning all four of their opening Premier League games to leave them as joint leaders alongside Liverpool FC.
Kante has been playing a little further forward in midfield for the Blues following the arrival of Jorginho from Napoli in the summer transfer window.
And Kante admits that he would like to add more goals to his game in his new position under Sarri.
Asked about scoring more goals, Kante told Sky Sports: “I will be more in front and I’ve already got many chances.
“I need to understand that in this position I will have to score to make a difference for the team. I need to be ready for that but I haven’t got a target.
“If I don’t score anymore but the team keep winning and I’m helping the team I will be happy. However, when I do have the chance, I’d like to score of course.”
Chelsea FC are aiming to at least challenge for a top-four finish this season after the Blues finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup last season under Conte.
The Blues are now preparing to host Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as they look to continue their strong start to the new campaign.
