Chris Sutton believes Chelsea FC will finish in third place in the Premier League table this season.

The Blues appointed Maurizio Sarri as Antonio Conte’s replacement in the summer following a fifth-placed finish last term.

Chelsea FC beat Huddersfield Town, Newcastle United, West Ham, Arsenal and Bournemouth to secure top spot in the table.

The west London side dropped their first points of the season in a goalless draw with West Ham United in the London derby on Sunday.

The Blues are in third place and two points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool FC after six games.

Chelsea FC will welcome Jurgen Klopp’s men to Stamford Bridge in their next league fixture on Saturday evening.

Former Chelsea FC striker Sutton believes the Blues will end up in third spot in the Premier League table.

“Liverpool and Man City are a cut above everybody else,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I think Chelsea will finish third.”

Chelsea FC were 1-0 winners against PAOK in their Europa League opener in Greece last week.

The Blues have won the Premier League title in 2015 and 2017.

The west London side won the FA Cup in May thanks to a 1-0 win over Arsenal at Wembley.

Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard is Sarri’s top goal-scorer following five goals in their opening fixtures.
