The Belgium international has made a prolific start to the Premier League season despite an exhausting campaign in the World Cup.
Hazard scored his second-ever hat-trick for the west London side in a 4-1 victory over Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
The 27-year-old has scored five times in five games in the Premier League this season to prompt manager Maurizio Sarri to compare Hazard to Messi and Ronaldo.
The Belgian forward has been one of the Premier League’s best players over the past few seasons but Hazard has struggled with inconsistency.
Former Liverpool FC striker Collymore refuted Sarri’s suggestion that Hazard deserves to be considered alongside the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.
“Maurizio Sarri says Eden Hazard may be the best player in Europe right now, but not for me he isn’t,” Collymore told the Daily Mirror.
“You’re still looking at Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Antoine Griezmann – and I don’t think he’s there yet.
“Hazard has started the season well and, if he continues in the same vein, will be looking at a Ronaldo or Messi-esque goal haul of around 35, and I hope he can get there.
“But only then will I start to put him up with those players and not before.”
Chelsea FC are sitting at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Liverpool FC on goal difference.
The Blues will make the short trip to West Ham United in their next Premier League fixture at the London Stadium.
Hazard was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer but the World Cup star opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.
