Chelsea FC came from a goal down in the second half to claim a thrilling 2-1 victory over Jurgen Klopp’s men at Anfield and book their place in the fourth round.
Eden Hazard came off the bench to net a brilliant winner and send Maurizio Sarri’s men into the fourth round at the expense of the Merseyside outfit.
Attentions will now turn towards the Premier League clash between the two sides at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening as Liverpool FC aim to try and maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
And Chelsea FC midfielder Barkley believes that their comeback win against the Reds on Wednesday night will stand Sarri’s men in good stead ahead of the Premier League encounter this weekend.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Barkley said: “We are still learning game by game, we are improving and that is what we need to be doing.
“Coming from behind and winning [against Liverpool], that will give us a lot of confidence going into the weekend game.
“Game by game we keep improving and on Saturday we will be going in with the same target – to win.”
Chelsea FC head into the game looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League after they slumped to a goalless draw at West Ham United last weekend.
The Blues are currently two points behind the Reds in the Premier League table.
