The west London side maintained their 100 per cent start to the new season under Maurizio Sarri as goals from Pedro Rodriguez and Hazard claimed all three points at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC are now joint top of the Premier League table after four games as they look to continue their solid start to the new campaign.
Hazard has been in solid form so far this season, despite the relentless speculation about his future over the summer months.
The 27-year-old has less than two years to run on his contract with the Blues and he is yet to indicate that he will sign a new contract with the west London club.
And Crooks feels that it was Hazard who proved the difference for Sarri’s men on Saturday as he helped the Blues to claim all three points and continue their solid start to the new campaign.
Crooks wrote in his column for BBC Sport: “Chelsea simply wore Bournemouth down – the way Willian, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho and Hazard twisted and tormented the visitors for 90 minutes, it was hardly surprising.
“But for all of Chelsea’s ingenuity it took something a little special from Hazard to put the game beyond the Cherries.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge later this month.
