The Belgian playmaker has made a solid start to the new campaign and he has been a regular fixture in the first team at Stamford Bridge despite having returned late to pre-season training following his involvement in the World Cup.
Hazard’s future at Chelsea FC was a subject of speculation in the summer months, with Real Madrid believed to be keen on bringing him to Spain.
However, the 27-year-old ended up staying at the west London club and he will now be aiming to help the Blues mount a serious Premier League title challenge.
And Kante has hailed Hazard following the Belgian playmaker’s solid start to the new season with the Blues.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Kante said: “I think Eden has been in the Premier League for many years and I think he’s the best player in the league.
“To have him here at Chelsea is a big advantage for the team and for the club.
“Yes, he has had a good start and in every game he has had a big influence, which is good for him and it’s good for the team to have Eden in this form.”
Chelsea FC are aiming to at last break back into the top four this season after they ended up in fifth place and won the FA Cup last term under Antonio Conte.
Hazard’s current contract at Chelsea FC is due to expire in the summer of 2020, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues may choose to cash in 2019 rather than risk losing him on a free transfer the following year.
