Fabinho believes that Tiemoue Bakayoko has what it takes to make it at Chelsea FC after his disappointing first season at the west London club.

Bakayoko joined the Blues from Monaco last summer under Antonio Conte but although he made a handful of appearances, he failed to really establish himself as a regular in the firs team.

The French midfielder has since been shipped out on loan to AC Milan for this season after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.

Fabinho himself is now getting used to life in the Premier League after having signed for Liverpool FC from Monaco in the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian midfielder is still waiting to make his first top-flight appearance for the Reds following his move this summer.

And Fabinho believes that Bakayoko will end up being a success at Chelsea FC despite his slow start.

Speaking in an interview with Yahoo! Sport, Fabinho said: “I don’t think he struggled that much. I watched a few games and he seemed always good to me.

“Obviously, in your first season in a new club it’s always difficult and I wasn’t expecting him to leave, but AC Milan are getting a great player.

“I’m sure he’ll be able to prove how good he is and show what he did at Monaco. I’m sure if he comes back to England he will be stronger and will show everyone what he’s capable of.”

Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

The Blues have won all of their Premier League games so far this season.
