The Blues have been getting to grips with life under their new manager after his appointment as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge back in July.
Chelsea FC seem to have clicked relatively quickly under the guidance of their new boss, with the Blues having won five and drawn two of their opening seven Premier League games.
The west London side appeared to be on their way towards victory against Liverpool FC on Saturday evening when Eden Hazard fired them into the lead at Stamford Bridge in the first half.
However, Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to net a superb solo goal and earn the Reds a 1-1 draw against Sarri’s men.
Nevertheless, Sarri has clearly had a positive impact at the west London club since taking over in the summer.
And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand feels that the manager deserves a lot of credit for the way he has begun life in charge of the club.
Speaking to BT Sport after Saturday’s game, Ferdinand said: “Special credit has to go to Sarri.
“For him to come in and to coach this team into his ideas so quickly is phenomenal.
“That is the sign of a great manager – implementing your ideas on a team at this rate is phenomenal.
“He has to take huge credit and Chelsea look like a team who will be up there to stay.”
Chelsea FC take on Videoton in the Europa League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.
