The 17-year-old was deployed in midfield by Wales boss Giggs and he impressed as he helped his country secure victory over the Men in Green.
Ampadu made seven first team appearances under former Chelsea FC boss Antonio Conte but he is yet to get a run out in the Premier League under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
The teenager will be hoping to impress the new man in charge at Stamford Bridge this season as he looks to break into the first team at the west London club.
And Wales boss Giggs has praised Ampadu for his impressive performance for his country on Thursday night.
Speaking at his post-match news conference, Giggs said: “Ethan is a talented player.
“Even more so than that, as a person, he’s so balanced and mature for such a young player. He’ll be a magnificent player.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when the Blues take on Cardiff City in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup last season under Conte, before the Italian was sacked and replaced by Sarri back in July.
