The Belgian playmaker has made a superb start to the new campaign despite returning to Stamford Bridge late this summer following his involvement in the World Cup.
Hazard has netted five goals and made two assists in his first six Premier League appearances for the Blues so far this season to help them keep pace with early leaders Liverpool FC at the top of the table.
The 27-year-old was named in the FifPro Team of the Year on Monday and Hazard will be hoping to hit top form for the west London side as he approaches the prime years of his career.
Zola has been delighted by what he has seen from the playmaker so far, but he still feels that Hazard can improve his game for Chelsea FC.
Speaking at a news conference before Chelsea FC’s trip to Liverpool FC in the League Cup, Zola said: “It looks like the more Eden plays, the better he gets.
“I think Eden has done magnificently in the World Cup. He’s a player who is getting better and better.
“I don’t think in my opinion he has reached his full potential.
“He can still use his skills in a better way. I truly believe this. I think this year, the team, Maurizio in particular, will help him to reach his full potential.”
Chelsea FC will now prepare for their Premier League showdown with Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues are two points behind Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders heading into the showdown.
