Mateo Kovavic says that he is confident that Chelsea FC will have a strong season this term under new boss Maurizio Sarri.

The Blues are currently getting used to life under new manager Sarri after his appointment as Antonio Conte’s successor back in the summer.

Chelsea FC have made a solid start to the new campaign and they look as though they will be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this term.

Kovacic himself has also been settling into life at Chelsea FC after his arrival at the west London club from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window on loan.

And the Croatia international seems to be confident that the Blues will be one of the main contenders for the title this season.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website before Sunday’s trip to West Ham, Kovacic said: “Everybody can see Chelsea are trying to play attacking football, football that the fans like to watch, so I think we will have a good season this year.

“We can improve a lot because we have great potential, but the team is doing great and that is the most important thing for now.”

Chelsea FC will now turn their attentions back towards League Cup affairs and their trip to Liverpool FC in the third round on Wednesday night.

The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table and won the FA Cup in Conte’s final campaign in charge last term.
