Ross Barkley has become the latest player to lavish praise on Eden Hazard after the Belgian helped to fire Chelsea FC to a 2-1 win over Liverpool FC in the League Cup on Wednesday night.

The Belgian playmaker was in brilliant form and he came off the bench to net a superb winner for the Blues and book their place in the fourth round.

Hazard has been in superb form so far this season and he has scored six goals and made two assists in all competitions under new manager Maurizio Sarri.

The 27-year-old was linked with a move away from Chelsea FC in the summer transfer window but he ended up staying at the Stamford Bridge club for the time being.

And Blues midfielder Barkley has admitted that he has been hugely impressed by the way in which Hazard has started the new season with the the Blues.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Barkley said of Hazard: “He is up there with the best in the world.

“Day to day in training you see what he can do and he produces the goods like he did in this game, he is a fantastic player.”

Hazard will be expecting to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Liverpool FC in the top flight at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side finished in fifth place in the table last term and they are currently two points off leaders Liverpool FC.
