Maurizio Sarri has challenged Eden Hazard to prove himself as one of the best players in Europe after his strong start to the new campaign with Chelsea FC.

Hazard netted an impressive hat-trick as the west London side claimed all three points against Cardiff City on Saturday thanks to a 4-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old has made a strong start to the new campaign under new boss Sarri and the playmaker will be hoping to help Chelsea FC mount a serious Premier League title challenge this term.

Hazard has scored five goals and made two assists in five Premier League appearances so far this season.

And new Chelsea FC boss Sarri seems to think that Hazard has the capability of stepping his game up and proving himself as one of Europe’s best in the next couple of years.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Saturday’s win, Sarri said: “He can become maybe the best player in Europe in the next two years.

“He will improve by spending less time a long way away from goal.”

Chelsea FC’s win over Cardiff was their fifth in a row in the Premier League and it maintained their 100 per cent start to the new campaign.

The west London side are aiming to try and break back into the top four in the Premier League this season at the very least after their fifth-placed finish last term.
