The Blues headed into the game after having won all five of their opening Premier League games, but they were unable to break the deadlock at the London Stadium this weekend.
Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea FC this season and he had scored five goals and made two assists in his first five Premier League games this term.
However, the Belgian playmaker was unable to help Chelsea FC to find the winning goal against West Ham United as they slumped to their first draw of the season.
Last week, Sarri challenged Hazard to play more in the final 25 metres of the pitch – and when asked if he felt he had done that against West Ham, the Blues boss told his post-match news conference: “Not in the first half.
“[He was] better in the second half. It was very difficult to play inside. They were cutting off very well every kind of pass for Giroud.
“We needed two wingers. Hazard did very well in the last 25 minutes, more on the right than the left, but it was really very difficult today for the striker and the two wingers.”
Next up for Chelsea FC is their trip to Liverpool FC for their third-round League Cup tie against the Reds.
Chelsea FC will then prepare to welcome Liverpool FC to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League next weekend as they look to bounce back to winning ways.
