The Italian boss has been getting used to life at Stamford Bridge after having taken over from Antonio Conte at the west London club back in July.
Sarri’s side have made a strong start to the new Premier League season and they have established themselves as one of the early contenders for the title.
The Blues will be aiming to break back into the top four in the Premier League at the very least this season after they finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup under Conte last term.
Sarri is still getting used to his new surroundings as he looks to try and get the best out of his squad at Stamford Bridge.
And Arsenal legend Winterburn feels that Chelsea FC are on the cusp of becoming a quality team under the Italian manager.
Speaking in an interview with Sporting Bet, Winterburn said: “Sarri has had a very impressive start to life managing Chelsea.
“He has changed their play, reverting back to a four-man defence and they look set to score goals at will.
“If he can stop them from conceding goals as they adapt to his style, Chelsea have the potential to be sensational. It is still early days of a work in progress though.”
Chelsea FC will kick off their Europa League group stage campaign on Thursday night when they travel to PAOK.
The west London side have won the Premier League title in two of the last four seasons.
