The Brazilian attacker and his Chelsea FC team-mates have been getting used to proceedings under the new boss after he was brought in as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge back in July.
Chelsea FC have made a fine start to the new season in the Premier League, with Sarri’s men having won all five of their opening games in the top flight to leave them leading the way at the top of the table.
Willian’s future at Chelsea FC was a source of speculation in the summer transfer window as he was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
However, the attacker has ended up staying at the west London club and he seems to be enjoying working under his new manager at Chelsea FC.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Willian said: “I am very proud to stay and be a Chelsea player.
“It is an honour to play for this club. I am very happy at Chelsea. My mind was always to play for Chelsea and now with Maurizio Sarri we have a different way to play football, so I just want to enjoy and continue to play for this club.
“The manager wants us to play, everyone can see in the games the difference from last season.
“We play more, we have more possession, we enjoy to have fun with responsibility and we have won five games in a row so we have to continue the same way.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to West Ham United.
The Blues have won all five of their games so far to establish themselves as one of the early contenders for the Premier League title.
