Chelsea FC midfielder Willian insists he plans to remain at Stamford Bridge for ‘as long as possible’.

Willian has featured in all four of Chelsea FC’s matches at the start of the new Premier League season, once again making a significant impact on the team with his superb technical ability and range of passing.

Maurizio Sarri’s men are currently joint top of the table after making a perfect start to the campaign, with wins against Huddersfield, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth.

Chelsea FC have laid down an early challenge for the title and with Cardiff City up next at Stamford Bridge, supporters will be expecting the team’s 100% start to continue.

Willian has now revealed how happy he is in London and expressed his desire to remain at the club for as long as he can.

He told Chelsea’s official website: “When I arrived here my plan was to stay here as long as possible and now I am here five years I hope stay five more!

“I know I have two years of contract left but I hope to stay more years in the Premier League. I am very happy to be here five years.

“I have won titles and played a lot of games with a lot of happy moments, and a few sad moments as well but that is part of football.”

Over the course of his Chelsea career, Willian has amassed 241 appearances in the famous blue shirt, scoring 44 goals.

If Sarri’s team are to emerge as genuine challengers for silverware as the year progresses then the Brazilian stalwart will surely once again be a key part of the squad and vital in providing balance in the middle of the park.
