The Belgian playmaker has made a fine start to the new campaign under Maurizio Sarri and his solid form has helped the Blues top the Premier League table.
Hazard has scored five goals and made two assists in five Premier League games for the west London club as he bids to try and help the Blues to challenge for the title this season.
The 27-year-old struck a hat-trick last weekend as he helped to inspire Chelsea FC to a 4-1 win over Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard will be expecting to feature for the Blues when they return to action with a trip to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
And Zola was full of praise for Hazard following the brilliant start he has made to the season under new boss Sarri.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea TV, Zola said: “Eden is a fantastic player and is getting to have more maturity when he plays so the results are mainly due to his qualities.
“Of course he’s the type of player that it can benefit him a lot because you have a lot of the ball, close the opposition’s goal and in these conditions Eden can take a big advantage.”
Chelsea FC are looking to continue their 100 per cent start to the new season when they take on West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues are at least aiming to break back into the top four after they finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last term.
