The Belgian playmaker has been in superb form for the west London club so far this season and he has scored five goals and made two assists in five Premier League outings so far.
Hazard was the star of the show for Chelsea FC on Saturday last weekend as he netted a hat-trick to help the west London side to claim a 4-1 win over Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
The 27-year-old looks to be finding his best form for the Blues after having returned late to Cobham following his involvement in the World Cup with Belgium this summer.
And Sarri has lifted the lid on why he opted to leave Hazard at home for Chelsea FC’s Europa League opener against PAOK this week.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference, Sarri said of Hazard: “He told me after the national team, and the match against Cardiff, he was a little bit tired, so I thought it would be better for him to stay at Cobham and rest.”
Hazard will be expected to be fit to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United.
The Blues are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table.
