Maurizio Sarri wants to sign AC Milan duo for Chelsea FC in January – report
Maurizio Sarri wants to bring AC Milan duo Alessio Romagnoli and Mattia Caldara to Chelsea FC, say reports
Maurizio Sarri wants to bring AC Milan duo Alessio Romagnoli and Mattia Caldara to Chelsea FC in the January transfer window, according to reports in the Italian media.
Calcio Mercato, as quoted by The Daily Mail, is reporting that the new man in charge at Stamford Bridge has identified the defensive duo as two of his top targets for the mid-season transfer window.
Sarri is currently getting used to life at the west London club after having signed for the Blues as Antonio Conte’s successor back in July.
The Italian boss brought the likes of Jorginho to Chelsea FC this summer, but he is likely to have other targets in mind as the January transfer window draws nearer.
The same story says that although Sarri is keen on significantly bolstering his squad this winter, deals for both Romagnoli and Caldara look like they could be difficult to complete.
Chelsea FC have made a strong start to the new season under Sarri, winning all four of their opening four Premier League games to leave them joint top of the table.
The Blues will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Cardiff at Stamford Bridge.
