Eden Hazard gives latest Chelsea FC transfer update under Maurizio Sarri
The Chelsea FC star provides an update on his future at the Stamford Bridge outfit
Eden Hazard has admitted that he is no closer to reaching an agreement with Chelsea FC over a new contract.
The Belgium international has been in scintillating form in the current campaign after Maurizio Sarri took over the reins from Antonio Conte in the summer.
Hazard has been given more freedom in the Chelsea FC team under Sarri to help the 27-year-old score five goals in six games in the Premier League so far this term.
The long-term Real Madrid target netted a superb solo goal in a 2-1 win over Liverpool FC in the Carabao Cup third round at Anfield to earn plenty of plaudits.
Hazard was linked with a potential switch to the Champions League holders in the summer transfer window but a deal failed to materialise before deadline day.
The Belgian forward will have 12 months left to run on his current Chelsea FC deal at the end of the current campaign.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea FC’s home clash against Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening, Hazard is quoted as saying by Metro:
“I haven’t signed a contract. Not yet. Not yet.
“It is a pleasure to be there. I just want to keep going. I am the same player as two years ago, three years ago. I’m now in a period that I score a lot of goals, and hopefully I keep on scoring.
“It won’t be simple. Definitely not in the Premier League. I’m feeling good since the FA Cup final. Something you see.
“I play in strong teams, here with Chelsea and with Belgium who were very good at the World Cup, and that helps me to perform better too.”
Hazard netted his second-ever hat-trick for Chelsea FC in a 4-1 win over promoted side Cardiff City in the Premier League earlier this month.
