Lukaku scored a brace for his country as he helped Belgium to claim a 3-0 win over Iceland in the Nations League, with Hazard netting a penalty to complete the victory.
The Belgian striker is currently leading the line at Manchester United and Lukaku will be hoping to lead Jose Mourinho’s men to a serious title challenge this season.
The 25-year-old has scored three goals in three Premier League games for Manchester United so far this season and he netted both strikes in the 2-0 win at Burnley before the international break.
And Hazard believes that Lukaku’s two goals for Belgium on Tuesday night will be good for his confidence as the striker prepares to return to his club.
Hazard is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “For Romelu, it’s nice that he has scored two goals again.
“It’s good for his confidence.”
Lukaku has been in fine form in recent weeks, and he has netted six goals in five games for both club and country.
He will be hoping to help Manchester United secure the three points when the Red Devils travel to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Manchester United have endured something of a mixed start to the new Premier League campaign, with Jose Mourinho’s men having lost two and won two of their opening four games.
