Eden Hazard: What I really think of Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea FC
Eden Hazard is pleased with the start to life he has made under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea FC
Eden Hazard has said that he is enjoying his football under new Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri and insists his team will fight to the very end this season.
Hazard scored the second goal in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth, after opening his account from the penalty spot in the previous game against Newcastle.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but he maintains that he is only thinking about Chelsea FC’s title challenge.
He said to BBC Sport: “I’m feeling confident, I’m enjoying my football, we have a new manager and lots of good players.
“I know when I play good the team play good, so I need to be ready for everything.
“The season is long, but we will fight to the end, and we will keep improving.”
Chelsea FC have taken maximum points from their four games so far this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri who took over from Antonio Conte this summer.
Hazard will be central to Chelsea FC’s title ambitions and he will need to be on top form if they want to keep up with fellow pace-setters Liverpool FC.
Hazard was part of Roberto Martinez’s Belgium team which reached the semi-finals of this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
They were knocked out by eventual winners France, and Hazard’s performances cemented the attention of potential suitors Madrid.
Ex-team-mate Thibaut Courtois made the move to Madrid during the summer but the rumours Hazard would join Los Blancos in a £100m deal never came to fruition.
